Hello all,

As part of its University Contact Programme, Xilinx is sponsoring the
Xilinx FPGA Design Contest to be held at Techkriti '10.

Field Programmable Gate Arrays, or FPGAs, are highly versatile integrated
circuits which can be configured after manufacture. Applications of FPGAs
include digital signal processing, software-defined radio, aerospace and
defense systems, ASIC prototyping, medical imaging, computer vision,
speech recognition, cryptography, bioinformatics, computer hardware
emulation, radio astronomy, metal detection and a growing range of other
areas.

The problem statement for the competition, which can be found at
http://www.techkriti.org/competitions-ecdc-xilinx/ involves the
acceleration of the Black-Scholes Algorithm which is found in the finance
domain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black-Scholes).

This competition is a chance to work with the powerful Xilinx Virtex-5
system. Participants will be required to possess basic knowledge of
Hardware Description Languages (HDL) and work with the Xilinx WebISE tool.

For any queries, drop an email atxilinx@techkriti.org

Hoping to see an enthusiastic response.

Regards,
Chirag Sangani
