In childhood I had many and I still have few.
Friendship is in the mind. Bodies do get attracted sometimes but once you are not sexually starving or don't know what is sex, only then a boy and girl (man and woman)respects each others virtues much more than their bodies, only then they can be true friends for each other.
Every boy and girl (man or woman) should try this and understand the virtues of the opposite sex. Ultimately, you need to become the other!

Don't see why not? Some of my dearest and longest lasting friends have been guys. (just completed silver jubilee with two of them!) These friendships have lasted from girlhood, through teens, twenties and now thirties. Then there are a few formed more recently, but I know will last a lifetime. So, from practical experience i can say it happens.
if a boy n a girl have to establish any relationship besides being lover then they should not be hesistate being called brother n sister.after all they can remain true friend even with this relationship.if this is not so then i must say there is something wrong with them.

FRIEND SHIP is a relation that cant be described bcoz it is an end less one, ya as per me a friend ship between a boy and girl will be true untill and unless some enters in to middle of them to spoil the thoughts
its just the nature's law for opposite forces to get attracted to eachother...if a boy and gal are not attracted to each other then there is something wrong in either of them which makes them unattractive. Its but natural that they may like eachother initially but if they over come the attraction and remain close but not going beyond limits then after some time they will become good friends as they have passed through the attraction phase and not any more attracted for their sexuality.If one is able to share everything with a frnd of opposite sexuality and still remain frnds then their frndship can be considered pure and matured.,
